Andrew Chen
President
Hello! I'm Andrew Chen. I'm a senior at Lambert High School and the President of HappyTails, a student-run nonprofit that supports local pet shelters through student-led classes. My commitment to service has earned me the Gold Level Presidential Volunteer Service Award. Outside of HappyTails, I stay involved in a mix of interests, including engineering projects, soccer, and music. I love working on creative STEM challenges, playing center-back on my club team, and performing in symphonic band. I also enjoy taking on leadership roles at school and staying active in my community. I was the captain for my Real-World Design Challenge team, which placed third in the state of Georgia in 2025. As a talented musician, I perform in the high school symphonic band and earned placement in the Georgia All-State Band in 2025. I attended the Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) summer program, and my team was awarded the Best Presentation in the engineering capstone projects. I currently serve on the student advisory board for the Diamond Challenge competition.
Chloe Li

Hi! I’m Chloe Li, a senior at Westminster and one of the founders (and current co-vice president) of HappyTails. I love all things art and design, whether that’s teaching kids in our art classes, or working on my own art. I have won many awards and honors for my art such as Scholastic Silver Keys, having art displayed in the High Museum, and being a published author in CelebratingArt’s book. I’m also really into fashion, art history, graphic design, and anything creative. Outside of HappyTails, I help lead and run student groups at school like Embryo (Art and Poetry Magazine), the Therapy in Art Club, and the Social Change and Leadership Council. Overall, I love collaborating, being creative, and using my ideas to support causes I care about.
Poldie Li

Hello, I’m Poldie Li. I’m 18 years old, and I am currently attending Lambert High School as a senior. I really love making music and playing guitar. I plan to do business and design in college, as well as start a respected band one day. I have been teaching at HappyTails for nearly three and a half years now as a teacher for both speech and debate. I have also attended and planned classes for all three HappyTails summer programs, as well as public speaking in several non-profit meetings and events. Looking forward to meeting new people!
Allen Xu

My name is Allen Xu, and I am a senior at Lambert High School. I enjoy playing soccer, nature walks, and cooking. I currently serve as the secretary and head math teacher of HappyTails, where I help organize group activities and plan long-term objectives. I also earned the Presidential Volunteer Service Award in recognition of my commitment to service. I hope to share my work more widely and continue to provide future opportunities for learning and leadership.
Hongyi Jiang
Chief Financial Officer
Hi! I’m Hongyi Jiang, a sophomore at Northview High School. As one of the founders and current Chief Financial Officer of Happy Tails, I’m deeply involved in our activities to support young learners. Outside of academics, I play basketball for my school team, compete in debate tournaments nationwide, and perform on the clarinet. I teach debate at Happy Tails, an event I actively compete in. I’ve won state championships and the Georgetown International Tournament in middle school, and placed third in the high school state novice division and eighth at Woodward Nationals last year. I also founded the Hand-in-Hand project （大手牵小手）at Happy Tails, which has helped over 30 children newly arrived from China improve their English and adjust to life in the U.S. The program now offers Chinese language and culture classes, teaching history and traditions through fun, engaging stories to spark a love for learning Chinese. As a busy high schooler with diverse hobbies, I’m often “AFKing”to recharge, but I’m always up for a great conversation! If you spot me around, feel free to chat about daily life, classes, current events, history, sports, music, fandoms, games, anime, or anything you’re passionate about.

Hi, my name is Emma and I go to Johns Creek Highschool. My hobbies are drawing, writing, and playing the flute. In addition to HappyTails, I am an officer in my school’s Art Club and a board member in Voice of Asian Youth. I have won awards in Scholastic Art, Celebrating Art, and the Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest, and received the Presidential Volunteer Award. I look forward to being a part of the Happytails’s leadership team this year!
Jack Wang
Co-Head Mathematics & Athletics
Hi! I’m Jack Wang, the Head Athletic and Math Teacher at Happy Tails Tutoring and a student at Innovation Academy in Georgia. I combine my love for STEM and sports—especially baseball—to help students grow in both math and athletics. I focus on clear, step-by-step teaching and creating a positive, encouraging environment where students can build skills, confidence, and consistency.
Daksh Reddy

Hi! I’m Daksh Reddy, the Head of Mathematics at Happy Tails Tutoring and a senior at Lambert High School. I bring my passion for math, problem-solving, and mentorship to help students strengthen both their skills and their confidence. I focus on breaking down concepts in a clear, approachable way and creating an encouraging environment where students feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn. Whether I’m teaching algebra foundations or guiding students through more advanced topics, my goal is to help every learner grow not just in math, but in mindset and academic resilience.
Bonnie Dong
Head of Dance
Hi! My name is Bonnie Dong and I'm 17 years old, currently attending Peachtree Ridge High School as a junior. I have been dancing since I was 5 years old and learned hip hop, Chinese folk, contemporary, jazz, and ballet. I really enjoy teaching K-pop and have been teaching for over a year now. I received multiple dance competition awards for trios & group dances such as YAGP, World Ballet Competition, UBC, Starpower, Platinum, and World Dance Championships. I have also walked many runways in Atlanta and internationally.
